About the position
The Offshore Night Shift Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing operations on a Rigid Pipelay Vessel in Angola. This role involves ensuring compliance with HSE standards, assisting in emergency response, and coordinating with contractors during night shifts. The position is critical for maintaining safety and efficiency during offshore operations, particularly in relation to pipelay activities and subsea operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the implementation of agreed procedures during Rigid Pipelay vessel mobilization and offshore operations.
- Assist in the transfer of equipment onboard the vessel and oversee deck operations.
- Ensure compliance with the Management of Change process for any modifications to agreed procedures.
- Verify that all necessary Ready for Installation certificates are in place before operations.
- Communicate with relevant COMPANY personnel and other vessels during co-activities or SIMOPS activities.
- Coordinate with CLOV FPSO RSES for all SIMOPS activities near existing subsea assets.
- Facilitate the interface between MWS representatives and SURF Contractors onboard the vessel.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience, with more than 5 years in project supervision related to SURF Rigid operations.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- BOSIET and HUET certifications are required.
- Experience in SURF Installation Engineering and Offshore Operations.
- Knowledge of company rules and procedures.
- Project management skills including budget, cost, and schedule management.
- Experience in SURF Hook up and Commissioning, design engineering, and fabrication.
- Strong team spirit.
