About the position
The Offshore Scaffold Builder is responsible for performing scaffolding job functions required for the fabrication of iron and steel structures according to contract specifications and quality assurance standards. This role involves erecting and dismantling scaffolding to create safe work platforms, ensuring all tasks are completed in a safe manner and in compliance with established procedures.
Responsibilities
- Erects and dismantles scaffolding to provide safe work platforms.
- Fits together steel pipe, support braces, and clamps.
- Lifts and positions scaffolding, bolts pipe, and places planks.
- Uses various hand tools to perform scaffolding tasks.
- Performs additional duties as directed by the foreman.
- Ensures all duties are performed in accordance with safety procedures.
Requirements
- Valid TWIC card is required.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- 1+ years of experience in offshore scaffold building is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing is required.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with safety equipment such as belts and harnesses.
- Familiarity with high reach equipment and man lifts.
