About The Position

The Offshore Utility Hand is responsible for a variety of tasks related to food preparation, housekeeping, and general maintenance in a remote offshore environment. This role involves assisting the cook, maintaining cleanliness in the galley and living quarters, and ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards. The position requires adaptability to various job assignments and the ability to work long hours in a confined space.

Requirements

• TWIC Card or proof of receipt.
• Valid ID.
• Proof of Citizenship.
• Successful completion of pre-employment physical and drug screen, as well as a background screening.
• Basic education or instruction on proper hygiene practices (preferred).
• Basic instruction on prevention of foodborne illness (preferred).
• Reading and writing skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to follow specific instructions.
• Ability to interact with people.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook with food preparation and serving, ensuring proper food storage and contamination prevention.
• Prepare and maintain a constant supply of fresh coffee.
• Rotate groceries and supplies, especially perishables.
• Unload and store groceries and supplies appropriately.
• Clean and organize the galley area, including walk-in freezers and storage areas.
• Sanitize galley equipment, dishes, utensils, and refuse containers.
• Maintain cleanliness in the galley, quarters, and other assigned areas, including making beds and cleaning bathrooms.
• Inventory and sack dirty linen for cleaning services.
• Inventory incoming clean linen and store it properly.
• Attend safety meetings, inspections, and fire drills as required.
• Train new employees by demonstrating skills and duties.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.

Benefits

• Full-time position with expected hours of 84 per week.
• Competitive pay at $10.00 per hour.
