The Corporate Controller at OGD Overhead Garage Door is a pivotal role responsible for developing and implementing the company's accounting and financial processes while owning the general ledger. This position is crucial for partnering with leadership to leverage financial information to drive profitability, optimize costs, and enhance commercial efforts. The Controller will maintain strong relationships with auditors, lenders, and third-party service providers to ensure smooth operations across the organization. This role offers significant exposure to all key areas of OGD's business, including corporate finance, capital structure, treasury, tax, forecasting, risk management, and operations. In this role, the Controller will lead the company's first-year audit process, managing relationships with external auditors and ensuring that effective internal controls are in place. Compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws is a critical aspect of this position. The Controller will set and implement monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activities, analyze general ledger account activity, prepare or review journal entries, and perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Collaboration with the executive team is essential for developing and implementing the annual business plan, which includes revenue, expense, and capital spending budgets. The Controller will coordinate with third parties to ensure accurate and timely tax filings and oversee the company's financial technology systems to support real-time, reliable data insights for key stakeholders. Additionally, the Controller will participate as a key stakeholder in upcoming ERP design, testing, and transition projects, proactively supporting the company with recurring and ad hoc financial information and analysis to facilitate quality decision-making. The role also involves overseeing the company's treasury function to enhance working capital efficiency and optimize cash management, managing all aspects of debt covenant compliance, and delivering quarterly reporting packages to lenders as required. The Controller will recruit, supervise, and mentor a team of divisional accounting staff members and lead finance and accounting post-close M&A system migration, training local accounting staff, and implementing standard company procedures during the transition period.
