About the position

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Shop Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while managing shop operations in the absence of the Shop Manager. Our company has been a trusted name in oil changes for over 35 years, and we pride ourselves on our efficient service that allows customers to remain in their vehicles while we perform necessary maintenance. As an Assistant Shop Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive top-notch service and that our shop runs smoothly. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily operations, training new employees, and ensuring that all services are performed to our high standards. You will also assist with inventory management, perform light maintenance tasks, and maintain cleanliness in the shop and office areas. We value experience, but it is not required; we are looking for individuals who are willing to learn and bring a positive attitude to the team. Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and process payment for services performed
• Assume the responsibility and authority of the Shop Manager in the Shop Manager's absence
• Run the floor, ensuring each employee is where they need to be and that every customer is satisfied before they leave
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Assist with counting and adjusting inventory
• Train new employees to fulfill duties in the Take 5 way
• Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary
• Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor
• Maintain shop, office, and bathroom cleanliness

Requirements

• Must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds
• Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time
• Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
