About the position

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Assistant Shop Manager at our Loganville location. This role is perfect for those who are driven, enjoy working with people, and are looking to showcase their leadership skills in a fast-paced environment. As an Assistant Shop Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service while also supporting the Shop Manager in daily operations. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing shop activities, managing staff, and ensuring that all services are performed to our high standards. You will also be involved in training new employees, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring the cleanliness of the shop. We pride ourselves on our efficient oil change process, and as an Assistant Shop Manager, you will help maintain this reputation by ensuring that every customer leaves satisfied. We offer paid training to equip you with the skills necessary to succeed in this role, regardless of your previous experience. Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service and process payment for services performed
  • Assume the responsibility and authority of the Shop Manager in the Shop Manager's absence
  • Run the floor, ensuring each employee is where they need to be and that every customer is satisfied before they leave
  • Perform opening and closing procedures
  • Assist with counting and adjusting inventory
  • Train new employees to fulfill duties in the Take 5 way
  • Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary
  • Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor
  • Maintain shop, office, and bathroom cleanliness

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
  • Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time
  • Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customer service or management roles
  • Background in automotive services or related fields
