About the position

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Shop Manager (ASM) at our Benbrook location. As a vital part of our operations, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing the daily activities of the shop. This role is perfect for those who are driven, enjoy working with people, and are looking to develop their leadership skills in a fast-paced environment. We pride ourselves on our efficient oil change process, allowing customers to stay comfortably in their vehicles while we perform the necessary services. In this position, you will receive paid training to learn the Take 5 way of managing a shop, which includes oil changes, light maintenance services, and customer service excellence. You will have the opportunity to advance quickly within the company, as over 90% of our Shop Managers started as Crew Members or Assistant Shop Managers. As an ASM, you will assume the responsibilities of the Shop Manager in their absence, ensuring that all operations run smoothly. This role requires a hands-on approach, as you will also be involved in performing oil changes and other maintenance tasks, maintaining shop cleanliness, and training new employees. Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and process payment for services performed
• Assume the responsibility and authority of the Shop Manager in their absence
• Run the floor, ensuring each employee is where they need to be and that every customer is satisfied before they leave
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Assist with counting and adjusting inventory
• Train new employees to fulfill duties in the Take 5 way
• Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary
• Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor
• Maintain shop, office, and bathroom cleanliness

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
• Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time
• Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
