About the position

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our team as an Oil Change Assistant Manager at Shop#699 located at 7701 North Navarro Street, Victoria, TX. This position is ideal for those who are people-oriented and possess leadership qualities. We value experience, but it is not a requirement; many of our successful employees have transitioned from various backgrounds, including restaurant service, retail, mechanics, and other skilled trades. As an Oil Change Assistant Manager, you will undergo comprehensive training on the Take 5 way of managing a shop. Within less than 60 days, you will have the chance to become a Shop Manager, with a competitive salary of up to $55,000 or more. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the execution of oil changes, light maintenance services, and ensuring that your team adheres to Take 5 standards. You will also be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members, as well as managing schedules and payroll. In this role, you will control inventory, conduct evaluations, and support your crew in performing various auto services. Responsibilities

• Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members
• Creating crew schedules and submitting payroll
• Controlling inventory by conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory
• Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory as necessary
• Understanding the shop's financials to drive results and utilize budget wisely
• Conducting quarterly employee evaluations
• Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services
• Draining motor oil, changing oil filters, and performing other auto services as necessary
• Providing excellent customer service

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
• Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time
• Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
• Must be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion
• Must have basic computer operating skills
