About the position

The Assistant Shop Manager at Take 5 Oil Change plays a crucial role in ensuring excellent customer service and efficient shop operations. This position offers an opportunity for individuals to showcase their leadership skills while receiving paid training to manage shop activities, perform oil changes, and oversee staff. Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and process payment for services performed
• Assume the responsibility and authority of the Shop Manager in their absence
• Run the floor, ensuring each employee is in their designated position and that all vehicles are checked thoroughly
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Assist with counting and adjusting inventory
• Train new employees in the Take 5 way
• Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary
• Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor
• Maintain cleanliness in the shop, office, and bathroom

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
• Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit safely
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods
• Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in customer service or management roles
• Background in skilled trades or automotive services
