Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Assistant Shop Manager at our location in Miami, FL. As a vital part of our operations, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing shop activities in the absence of the Shop Manager. In this position, you will receive paid training to learn the Take 5 way of managing a shop, which includes not only oil changes but also light maintenance services such as replacing wiper blades and air filters. Our training program is designed to equip you with the necessary skills to thrive in this role and advance within the company. As an Assistant Shop Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive the best service possible. You will oversee shop operations, assist with inventory management, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service and process payment for services performed
  • Assume the responsibility and authority of the Shop Manager in the Shop Manager's absence
  • Run the floor, ensuring each employee is where they need to be and that every customer is satisfied before they leave
  • Perform opening and closing procedures
  • Assist with counting and adjusting inventory
  • Train new employees to fulfill duties in the Take 5 way
  • Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary
  • Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor
  • Maintain shop, office, and bathroom cleanliness

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds
  • Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
  • Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
  • Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
