About the position

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Assistant Shop Manager at our location on 7120 Louetta Road, Spring, TX. As a vital part of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service while also managing the daily activities of the shop. This role is perfect for those who are driven, enjoy working with people, and are looking to develop their leadership skills in a fast-paced environment. In this position, you will receive paid training to learn the Take 5 way of managing a shop, which includes not only oil changes but also light maintenance services such as replacing wiper blades and air filters. We value experience, but it is not a requirement; we believe that a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are key to success. Many of our successful employees have transitioned from various backgrounds, including restaurant service, retail, and skilled trades. As an Assistant Shop Manager, you will have the opportunity to advance quickly within the company, as over 90% of our Shop Managers started as Crew Members or Assistant Shop Managers. Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and process payment for services performed
• Assume the responsibility and authority of the Shop Manager in the Shop Manager's absence
• Run the floor, ensuring each employee is where they need to be and that every customer is satisfied before they leave
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Assist with counting and adjusting inventory
• Train new employees to fulfill duties in the Take 5 way
• Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary
• Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor
• Maintain shop, office, and bathroom cleanliness

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
• Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time
• Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
