About the position

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Assistant Shop Manager. In this role, you will be integral to our operations, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service while also supporting the Shop Manager in daily tasks. The Assistant Shop Manager will be responsible for overseeing shop activities, managing staff, and ensuring that all services are performed efficiently and to our high standards. As an Assistant Shop Manager, you will be trained in the Take 5 way, which includes learning how to manage a shop location, perform oil changes, replace wiper blades and air filters, and conduct other light maintenance services. Our paid training program will equip you with the skills necessary to excel in this role and advance quickly within the company. In addition to your managerial responsibilities, you will also be expected to maintain a clean and organized shop environment, assist with inventory management, and ensure that all employees are performing their duties effectively. Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and process payment for services performed
• Assume the responsibility and authority of the Shop Manager in the Shop Manager's absence
• Run the floor, ensuring each employee is where they need to be and that every customer is satisfied before they leave
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Assist with counting and adjusting inventory
• Train new employees to fulfill duties in the Take 5 way
• Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary
• Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor
• Maintain shop, office, and bathroom cleanliness

Requirements

• Must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds
• Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
• Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
