About the position

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Shop Manager. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our operations, ensuring that our customers receive the best service possible while also managing the daily activities of the shop. We pride ourselves on our efficient oil change process, which allows customers to stay in their vehicles while we perform the necessary services. As an Assistant Shop Manager, you will have the opportunity to showcase your leadership skills and help guide a team of technicians in delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate will be a people person who is driven and eager to learn. Experience in the automotive industry is valued but not required, as we provide comprehensive paid training to equip you with the skills needed to succeed. You will learn how to manage shop operations, perform oil changes, replace wiper blades and air filters, and conduct other light maintenance services. Our training program is designed to help you advance quickly within the company, as over 90% of our Shop Managers started as Crew Members or Assistant Shop Managers. Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and process payment for services performed
• Assume the responsibility and authority of the Shop Manager in the Shop Manager's absence
• Run the floor, ensuring each employee is in their designated position and that every customer is satisfied before they leave
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Assist with counting and adjusting inventory
• Train new employees to fulfill duties in the Take 5 way
• Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary
• Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor
• Maintain shop, office, and bathroom cleanliness

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
• Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time
• Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop

• Experience in customer service or management roles
• Background in automotive services or related fields
