About the position

The Oil Change Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an oil change and vehicle maintenance facility. This role focuses on ensuring customer satisfaction, managing staff, maintaining quality standards, and achieving business goals in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the oil change facility, ensuring timely and professional service delivery.
  • Hire, train, and manage a team of technicians and service advisors, providing coaching and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and handling complaints.
  • Manage inventory levels for oil, filters, and other necessary products, maintaining vendor relationships for competitive pricing.
  • Ensure all services are performed to the highest quality standards, following company and industry guidelines.
  • Monitor the location's performance, including revenue, expenses, and profit margins, assisting in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Promote additional vehicle services to customers, including fluid replacements and tire rotations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, inventory used, and customer interactions, preparing reports on operational performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in automotive service management or oil change services.
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
  • Knowledge of oil change services and basic automotive maintenance.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle maintenance issues.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Experience in inventory management and scheduling.
  • Ability to address operational challenges and customer issues professionally.

Nice-to-haves

  • Automotive certifications are a plus.
  • Experience in business development and sales.
