About the position

The Shop Manager at Take 5 Oil Change is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the oil change shop, ensuring high standards of service and team performance. This role involves managing staff, controlling inventory, and providing excellent customer service while also being accountable for the shop's financial performance. The position offers opportunities for growth and development through paid training and the potential for bonuses based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members
• Creating crew schedules and submitting payroll
• Controlling inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory
• Placing product orders and restocking inventory as necessary
• Understanding the shop's financials to drive results and utilize budget wisely
• Conducting quarterly employee evaluations
• Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services
• Providing excellent customer service

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
• Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time
• Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
• Must be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion
• Must have basic computer operating skills
