About the position

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking a dedicated and driven individual to join our team as a Shop Manager. This position is ideal for those who are people-oriented and possess strong leadership skills. As a Shop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shop, ensuring that our high standards for service and efficiency are met. We pride ourselves on our friendly technicians and our commitment to providing a swift and safe oil change experience for our customers, all while they remain in the comfort of their vehicles. In this role, you will receive comprehensive paid training on the Take 5 way to manage a shop location, which includes not only oil changes but also light maintenance services such as replacing wiper blades and air filters, and filling air in tires. You will be accountable for your team's execution of these standards within a short period, typically less than 60 days. We value experience, but it is not a requirement; we welcome individuals from various backgrounds, including those with no prior experience in the automotive industry. As a Shop Manager, you will have the opportunity to earn a competitive salary starting at $55,000 per year, with potential for bonuses based on performance. Responsibilities

• Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members
• Creating crew schedules and submitting payroll
• Controlling inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory
• Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory as necessary
• Understanding the shop's financials to drive results and utilize budget wisely
• Conducting quarterly employee evaluations
• Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services
• Providing excellent customer service

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
• Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time
• Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
• Must be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion
• Must have basic computer operating skills
