About the position

The Shop Manager at Take 5 Oil Change is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the oil change shop, ensuring high standards of service and efficiency. This role involves managing a team, providing training, and maintaining inventory while delivering excellent customer service. The position offers opportunities for growth and development within the company, with a focus on leadership and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members
• Creating crew schedules and submitting payroll
• Controlling inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory
• Placing product orders and restocking inventory as necessary
• Understanding the shop's financials to drive results and utilize budget wisely
• Conducting quarterly employee evaluations
• Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services
• Providing excellent customer service

Requirements

• No experience needed
• Basic computer operating skills
• Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
• Ability to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit to position safely under cars
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods
• Willingness to work in hot/cold weather conditions
• Reliable transportation to and from the shop
• Willingness to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion
