About the position

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking a dedicated and energetic Shop Manager to join our team at our location in Tampa, FL. As a Shop Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading our team of technicians and ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality service in a friendly and efficient manner. With over 35 years of experience in the oil change industry, Take 5 prides itself on its commitment to customer satisfaction and employee development. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shop, which includes recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members. You will also create crew schedules, manage payroll, and control inventory by conducting regular inventory checks and placing product orders as needed. Understanding the shop's financials is essential, as you will be expected to drive results and utilize the budget wisely. Additionally, you will conduct quarterly employee evaluations and support your crew members in performing various auto services, including oil changes, wiper blade replacements, and tire inflation. Our Shop Managers have the potential to earn up to $55,000 per year, with opportunities for bonuses based on performance. Responsibilities

  • Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members
  • Creating crew schedules and submitting payroll
  • Controlling inventory by conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory
  • Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory as necessary
  • Understanding the shop's financials to drive results and utilize budget wisely
  • Conducting quarterly employee evaluations
  • Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services
  • Providing excellent customer service

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
  • Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time
  • Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
  • Must be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion
  • Must have basic computer operating skills
