About the position

As a Shop Manager at Take 5 Oil Change, you will play a crucial role in leading a team dedicated to providing exceptional oil change services. This position is designed for individuals who are people-oriented, driven, and possess strong leadership skills. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shop, ensuring that all services are performed to the highest standards while maintaining a friendly and efficient environment for both employees and customers. Your leadership will help foster a positive team culture, where every crew member feels valued and motivated to perform their best. In this role, you will receive comprehensive paid training that covers everything from managing shop operations to performing essential maintenance tasks such as oil changes, wiper blade replacements, and tire inflation. This training is designed to equip you with the skills necessary to excel in your position, regardless of your previous experience. You will quickly learn the Take 5 way of managing a shop, which emphasizes efficiency, customer satisfaction, and team collaboration. As a Shop Manager, you will also be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members. You will create work schedules, manage payroll, and control inventory by conducting regular audits and placing product orders as needed. Understanding the shop's financials will be essential for driving results and making informed budgetary decisions. You will conduct quarterly evaluations of your team members, providing feedback and support to help them grow in their roles. Responsibilities

• Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members
• Creating crew schedules and submitting payroll
• Controlling inventory by conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory
• Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory as necessary
• Understanding the shop's financials to drive results and utilize budget wisely
• Conducting quarterly employee evaluations
• Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services
• Draining motor oil, changing oil filters, and performing other auto services as necessary
• Providing excellent customer service

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
• Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time
• Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
• Must be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion
• Must have basic computer operating skills
