About the position

The Shop Manager at Take 5 Oil Change is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the oil change shop, ensuring high standards of service and efficiency. This role involves managing a team, recruiting and training new employees, and maintaining inventory while providing excellent customer service. The position offers opportunities for growth and development within the company, with a focus on leadership and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members.
• Creating crew schedules and submitting payroll.
• Controlling inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory.
• Placing product orders and restocking inventory as necessary.
• Understanding the shop's financials to drive results and utilize budget wisely.
• Conducting quarterly employee evaluations.
• Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services.
• Providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit to position yourself safely under cars.
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time.
• Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop.
• Must be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
• Must have basic computer operating skills.
