About the position

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking a Shop Manager to join our team at our Maumelle location. As a Shop Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading our team and ensuring that our customers receive the best service possible. We pride ourselves on our friendly technicians and efficient oil change process, allowing customers to stay comfortably in their vehicles while we perform the service. With over 35 years in the industry, we are committed to providing a supportive environment where you can grow your career. In this role, you will be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members. You will also create crew schedules and submit payroll, ensuring that the shop runs smoothly. Managing inventory is another key responsibility, which includes conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory, placing product orders, and restocking as necessary. Understanding the shop's financials is essential to drive results and utilize the budget wisely. You will conduct quarterly employee evaluations and support crew members with their duties, including changing oil and performing other auto services. Providing excellent customer service is a top priority, and you will be expected to lead by example in this area. We value experience but do not require it; we provide paid training to ensure you are well-equipped to manage the shop and perform necessary services. Our Shop Managers can earn up to $55,000 per year, with opportunities for bonuses. Responsibilities

  • Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members
  • Creating crew schedules and submitting payroll
  • Controlling inventory by conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory
  • Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory as necessary
  • Understanding the shop's financials to drive results and utilize budget wisely
  • Conducting quarterly employee evaluations
  • Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services
  • Providing excellent customer service

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
  • Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time
  • Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
  • Must be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion
  • Must have basic computer operating skills
