About the position

The OKC Operator at Hammer Construction is responsible for operating and maintaining various types of heavy construction equipment. This role involves performing tasks related to excavation, grading, and concrete work while ensuring compliance with safety policies and maintaining environmental performance. Operators may also be required to perform laborer duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures.
• Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving environmental performance.
• Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers.
• Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner.
• Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse.
• Observe distribution of paving material to adjust machine settings or material flow, and indicate low spots for workers to add material.
• Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation.

Requirements

• Ability to operate heavy construction equipment such as motor graders, bulldozers, scrapers, and front-end loaders.
• Physical ability to endure demands such as bending, stooping, squatting, standing for long periods, lifting at least fifty pounds, and climbing ladders.
• Completion of required operating credentials and adherence to safety protocols.
