About the position

The Identity Access Management (IAM) SSO Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and improving access management solutions, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Federation, Directory Services, Multifactor Authentication, and Web Access Management. This role involves working closely with customers to gather requirements, translating those into technical designs, and providing leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Review and lead the gathering of business, functional, and technical requirements for establishing an Okta Identity platform.
• Work with customers to document common technical and functional requirements for specific solutions.
• Translate requirements into designs and provide technical leadership and oversight.
• Support the creation of project plans to develop and implement proposed solutions.
• Develop strategic plans for identity services, including transition strategies and positioning strategies.
• Develop IAM technical standards for interoperability across multiple vendor solutions.
• Collaborate with the sales team to package and market services effectively.
• Assist in periodic customer health-checks and project reviews.
• Implement, integrate, and support Okta's cloud technologies into the IAM environment.
• Develop and maintain an access management integration process with technical templates and procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during migration and onboarding activities.
• Support technical integration needs that facilitate connectivity between SSO, directory, and provisioning tools.
• Validate integration needs with proposed technical solutions alongside the Access Management Solutions Lead.
• Transition support and knowledge of new application integrations to the SSO operations team.
• Lead the analysis, design, and deployment of IAM architecture to mitigate organizational risk and streamline access management activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Security.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Information Security if holding a bachelor's degree.
• Hands-on experience integrating applications with Okta SSO, MFA, and API Management.
• Experience migrating legacy header-based applications to modern authentication standards such as SAML, OIDC, OAuth.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Okta, Oracle Unified Directory, and CA Siteminder/SSO (12.52+).
• Familiarity with IAM-related protocols such as SAML, SCIM, OpenID, and OAuth.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong understanding of cloud computing architecture and delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Working knowledge of Cloud Authentication and Access Management Services.
