About the position

Oliver Wyman is seeking a Corporate Financial Analyst to join our Corporate FP&A team. This role is pivotal in assisting with reporting and analysis to senior management, conducting revenue and project analyses, and participating in forecasting and budgeting processes. The Analyst will also be involved in the month-end financial close, contributing to various interesting projects that the team supports throughout the year. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn the business, work alongside an experienced professional team, and develop a career in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A). The ideal candidate will have a solid finance background and possess excellent analytical and interpersonal skills. This is a hybrid role that requires presence in the NYC office three days per week, with no option for full remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management and stakeholders
  • Perform analysis on key metrics and drivers
  • Analysis, reporting and exploration of revenue and project related details
  • Support the month end financial close process by doing analysis of interim results
  • Support the analysis of our monthly FX gains and losses
  • Support our M&A activity from due diligence to financial integration
  • Work with the team and other functions on our annual budget process
  • Leverage our data warehouse and BI tools (such as Tableau) to produce analysis in support of business decisions
  • Support special projects and produce ad hoc financial analysis as needed

Requirements

  • BA or BS Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or accounting in a multi-national company
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel, comfortable working with and manipulating large amounts of data using advanced formulas, with a preference for learning Macros
  • Strong PowerPoint and communications skills to summarize and convey key findings for stakeholders
  • Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization applications
  • Familiarity with Oracle, Smartview, Oracle EPM and Hyperion Planning preferred
