About the position

As the OluKai Retail Assistant Store Manager, you will support a premium retail environment that embodies the OluKai brand. Your primary responsibility is to assist the Store Manager in managing store operations, fostering a sales-driven culture, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for customers. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate the team, manage inventory, and execute visual merchandising while embodying the values of Aloha and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in managing the store's financial plan, including revenue and expenses.
  • Assist in planning and executing weekly performance reviews and monthly strategic planning.
  • Foster a sales-driven culture through incentives and engaging activities.
  • Identify inventory needs and manage product flow and back-of-house operations.
  • Execute seasonal floor sets and maintain visual merchandising standards.
  • Coach staff to enhance product knowledge and customer engagement.
  • Manage POS operations including sales, returns, and customer information collection.
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and career development of store staff.
  • Motivate staff to approach the sales floor with enthusiasm and Aloha.
  • Help manage employee conflict and performance check-ins.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years retail experience, with at least 1 year in a management role.
  • Strong leadership and entrepreneurial skills.
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills tailored to different audiences.
  • Creative and adaptable team player with a positive attitude.

Nice-to-haves

  • College degree is a plus but not mandatory.
