About the position

The Omni-Channel Copywriter will be responsible for developing and executing copy/content strategies for a beauty/skincare client, ensuring a cohesive brand voice across various channels. This freelance position requires collaboration with the Creative & Marketing team to create engaging content that drives conversions and aligns with marketing goals.

Responsibilities

  • Create & edit appealing and on-brand copy content for a wide range of channels, including POS displays, print collateral, digital ads, social media assets, emails, SMS, loyalty program, DTC site assets, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Creative & Marketing team to develop and execute content strategies that align with the brand's voice and marketing goals.
  • Conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices in all copy.
  • Create compelling product descriptions that drive conversions.
  • Ensure tone of voice consistency across all design touchpoints, maintaining a cohesive visual identity.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor strategies to continuously improve copy and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations.
  • Present copy concepts and rationale to stakeholders, effectively communicating design decisions and obtaining buy-in.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in copywriting, preferably in the beauty or skincare industry.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of copy for different channels and audiences.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience implementing them in copy.
  • Experience with e-commerce and DTC (direct-to-consumer) is a plus.
  • A passion for beauty and a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to proofread and edit own work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and other content creation tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with e-commerce and DTC (direct-to-consumer) is a plus.
