Omni Air International is seeking an Interior Mechanic to join our dedicated team. The Interior Mechanic will be responsible for performing routine, non-routine, and preventive maintenance on non-airworthy interior equipment on OAI aircraft, following OAI manuals, manufacturer's manuals, FARs, and other established procedures. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is mechanically inclined and capable of working under supervision while maintaining a professional demeanor when representing the Maintenance Department onboard company aircraft. The Interior Mechanic will assist licensed mechanics as required and will be responsible for signing off on work accomplished, including troubleshooting deferred maintenance items. Proper documentation of all maintenance tasks is essential, as is the tagging of all repairable components with the reason for removal. The position also involves attending training courses assigned by supervisors and complying with all company rules and regulations. Safety is paramount, and the mechanic must keep a constant watch for excessive costs, ensure proper equipment usage, and install acceptable parts or components. The role may involve some travel, and the mechanic must maintain a clean work area and may be required to repair company property from time to time. Regular attendance during scheduled business hours is expected, and the mechanic must be willing to work 10-12 hour shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
