About the position

The Omni Merchandise Operations Analyst at Petco plays a crucial role in enhancing the e-commerce experience by managing item master data, digital assets, and ensuring high-quality content across multiple platforms. This position involves collaboration with various teams to drive improvements in data quality, site presentation, and overall operational efficiency, contributing to the company's mission of improving the lives of pets and their owners.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and organize data from internal and external partners to facilitate the development and improvement of item master data and e-commerce content.
  • Use analytical skills to identify and resolve data quality and governance issues.
  • Manage and maintain omni-channel item master data to ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the item's lifecycle.
  • Ensure site product assortment and content is engaging, complete, accurate, and optimized for consumers and search engines.
  • Maintain site presentation of designated categories to ensure accurate customer-facing content.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Technology to evolve site experience based on customer needs.
  • Manage additions and removals of products from the e-commerce catalog.
  • Apply SEO best practices to improve website content.
  • Oversee the digital asset management (DAM) library and ensure compliance with brand standards.
  • Analyze item data for validity and adherence to quality standards.
  • Drive daily triage with cross-functional resources for improvement recommendations.
  • Lead project management for omni-channel processes to meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategic business priorities and facilitate execution.
  • Develop training materials and conduct training for compliance in item creation and digital asset management.
  • Evaluate and resolve legal and regulatory issues within the organization.
  • Identify data integrity risks and implement corrective action plans.
  • Provide direction for 3rd party data entry specialists to ensure timely and accurate task completion.
  • Establish collaborative relationships through effective communication and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, merchandising, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with diverse leaders and associates.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn internal applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Workday or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Project management experience.
