About the position

As the Omnichannel Associate at JCPenney, you will play a crucial role in contributing to profitable sales growth by executing various activities and strategies related to Enterprise Fulfillment and JCPenney operations. Your primary focus will be on delivering outstanding customer service and sales support, ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience. You will greet and assist customers in finding products, actively listen to their issues, and resolve problems in a calm and agreeable manner. Additionally, you will promote company products and services while effectively partnering with team members to enhance the overall customer experience. In the realm of Enterprise Fulfillment, you will monitor the Enterprise Fulfillment systems application, pick merchandise orders, and ensure timely acknowledgment of completion in the system. Your responsibilities will include accurately packing orders according to packaging requirements and timelines, as well as completing all Ship from Store and Buy Online Pickup in Store activities promptly. You will also be involved in researching JCPenney order shortages and overages, completing shipment check-ins, and maintaining the organization of the JCPenney stock area. General operations will require you to collaborate with Merchandise Associates and Assistants to replenish store inventory and participate in the annual inventory process. You will be expected to consistently meet established performance standards, including shrink and safety initiatives, customer service, profit, productivity, and attendance. This role demands a proactive approach to improving the customer experience, demonstrating confidence and urgency in your actions, and taking accountability for your outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers in finding products and delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Actively listen to customer issues and resolve problems in a calm and agreeable manner.
  • Promote company products and services effectively.
  • Monitor the Enterprise Fulfillment systems application and pick merchandise orders.
  • Accurately pack orders in accordance with packaging requirements and timelines.
  • Complete all Ship from Store and Buy Online Pickup in Store activities in a timely manner.
  • Research JCPenney order shortages and overages and complete shipment check-ins.
  • Assist with the organization and maintenance of the JCPenney stock area.
  • Process JCPenney order delivery and return transactions on the register.
  • Partner with Merchandise Associates/Assistants to replenish store inventory.
  • Participate in the annual inventory process.
  • Consistently meet established performance standards including shrink and safety initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of work experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Ability to solve problems and make smart decisions that drive sales, profit, and customer service.
  • Ability to execute work effectively and efficiently, holding oneself accountable to high standards.
  • Adaptability to quickly changing situations with energy and a positive attitude.
