About the position
The On Call Banquet Server at Woodlands Resort is responsible for providing exceptional service during banquet functions. This role involves setting up tables, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have a pleasant experience. The position requires a friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to service standards and liquor liability laws.
Responsibilities
- Set up assigned tables for banquet functions with attention to detail.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a warm and enthusiastic manner.
- Complete pre-function side work as designated by the Banquet Captain or Managers.
- Follow all service standards to exceed guest expectations.
- Attend to all needs of guests during functions proactively.
- Educate yourself on liquor liability laws and adhere to them.
- Follow details as described on Banquet Event Orders (BEO's).
- Carry trays and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Two years of previous experience in customer service, preferably in a similar setting.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service.
- Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol.
- County Specific Food Handlers Certification and State specific alcohol certification required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Ability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
