About the position

The On-Call Community Support Specialist at Columbia Community Mental Health (CCMH) plays a crucial role in providing direct client services to individuals with serious mental illnesses and/or addiction issues. This position is dedicated to fostering a safe and supportive environment, ensuring that clients receive personalized care and assistance in daily living activities. The specialist will work in a residential setting, offering round-the-clock support and supervision to enhance the well-being of clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client services to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illnesses and/or addiction issues.
• Teach activities of daily living such as housekeeping, cooking, personal hygiene, and personal finance.
• Model appropriate interpersonal and vocational skills and behaviors.
• Effectively manage high-stress situations and resolve conflicts.
• Maintain reliable transportation and a good driving record.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least one year of experience working with individuals with mental health needs.
• Valid driver's license and proof of current automobile insurance.
