About the position
The On-Call Driver at Las Ventanas, a HumanGood community, is responsible for providing safe transportation for residents, visitors, and team members. This role emphasizes excellent hospitality and customer service, ensuring that all individuals are greeted warmly and assisted with their transportation needs. The driver will operate various vehicles to transport residents to appointments, shopping, and activities while maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Operate a motor vehicle to pick up, transport, and return residents to and from meals, medical appointments, and other activities.
- Coordinate the pickup and delivery of residents between various sites.
- Schedule appointments to service a maximum number of residents.
- Assist residents in and out of vehicles, including operating a wheelchair lift as needed.
- Maintain a transportation log and communicate appointment schedules to residents and appropriate personnel.
- Monitor and maintain vehicles in a clean and orderly condition, checking safety and reporting needed repairs to the supervisor.
- Routinely clean, wash, and wax vehicles, keeping them fueled and performing routine maintenance.
- Observe residents and report concerns and changes of condition to the supervisor.
- Respond to transportation requests from administration and resident inquiries, requests, and complaints regarding transportation services.
- Carry parcels from the vehicle to the building and sort by resident.
Requirements
- Entry-level position with a focus on customer service and hospitality.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
