The Off Hours Scheduler at Associated Home Care plays a crucial role in ensuring that clients' care needs are met promptly and consistently. This position involves collaborating with caregivers to manage scheduling requests, providing timely responses to client and caregiver needs, and maintaining effective communication across departments. The role is essential in supporting the organization's mission to improve the lives of seniors through high-quality in-home care services.

Responsibilities

  • Fill scheduling requests quickly and independently, ensuring caregivers meet client needs.
  • Provide timely and effective responses to clients and caregivers' needs.
  • Process time off requests through the scheduling manager to ensure coverage.
  • Email the Home Care Team each morning after on-call to relay time-sensitive information.
  • Update schedules and document appropriately in the software system.
  • Communicate schedule changes and tardiness to clients and caregivers.
  • Escalate issues appropriately as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information pertaining to employees and clients.
  • Provide seamless transition of support between business hours and on-call hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-year recent experience as an Off Hours Scheduler in a home care agency or other healthcare field.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and flexibility.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
