About the position

Tenacre Country Day School, located in Wellesley, MA, is seeking passionate and dedicated On-Call Per Diem Spanish Substitute Teachers for the 2024-2025 school year. Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction in Spanish to elementary students when the regular teacher is unavailable.
  • Deliver lessons prepared by Tenacre Country Day School faculty.
  • Organize the classroom environment and establish routines that support children's learning.
  • Supervise students during lunch, recess, and dismissal.
  • Adapt to short-term (1-3 hours/day) and all-day substitute teaching needs.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Spanish and conversational proficiency in English.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Some experience teaching, preferably in an elementary setting.
  • Effective and respectful classroom management skills.
  • Team-oriented with flexibility and a strong work ethic.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Google Docs, Google Classroom, and Seesaw is helpful but not required.
