About the position

The On-Call Video Editor at HSN is a part-time role within the post-production team, responsible for creating high-quality multimedia content across various platforms. Reporting to the Supervising Editor, this position emphasizes collaboration and creativity, focusing on storytelling through video editing. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and artistic sensibility, contributing to the production of compelling promotional materials for broadcast, mobile, digital, and social media.

Responsibilities

• Edit and composite promo spots, interstitials, and on-air elements for various platforms.
• Manipulate and handle graphics as needed for projects.
• Consult with producing teams and clients to discuss project elements related to post-production.
• Evaluate and select scenes for dramatic and entertainment quality and continuity.
• Utilize Adobe Premiere Pro and the Creative Cloud suite for editing tasks.
• Maintain corporate goals of quality and aesthetics while upholding the HSN brand.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in TV/Film or a related field.
• 3 years of industry experience in video editing and post-production.
• Strong understanding of storytelling, design, and editorial processes.
• Proficiency in non-linear editing systems and Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Knowledge of editing, color-correction, audio, text, and graphic elements.
