About the position

The Regional Account Manager is responsible for driving sales and profitability for mid-size national and regional accounts within the Ohio region. This role involves establishing and maintaining relationships with regional buyers, monitoring pricing and competitive activity, and implementing account strategies to promote growth. The position requires effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders, including suppliers and internal teams, to ensure successful execution of sales initiatives and compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all assigned sales and profitability goals for mid-size national and regional accounts
  • Establish and maintain relationships with regional buyers
  • Monitor and implement pricing, merchandising, and competitive activity
  • Partner with national, regional, and corporate accounts for compliance
  • Provide timely market information to management regarding pricing and market trends
  • Monitor field implementation of national and regional programs
  • Coordinate and monitor ads, in-account menus/features, and activities
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability and conduct spot checks
  • Track sales dollars and cases on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Identify short and long account opportunities and create plans to leverage products
  • Coordinate regional sales calls and vendor meetings
  • Partner with suppliers to identify and prospect account opportunities
  • Assist in monitoring the impact and effectiveness of programs
  • Provide monthly reports to chain account leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years of relevant experience
  • Valid driver license and auto-liability insurance
  • Ability to obtain and meet industry licensing requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Comprehensive knowledge of products
  • Proficient in computerized applications (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.)
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of applicable state regulations and adult beverage market dynamics
  • Goal-oriented and assertive
  • Ability to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
