About the position

The Benefits Coordinator will play a crucial role in consulting and managing ASO client employee benefit programs. This position involves providing expert guidance, support, and problem-solving to both ASO employees and client management, ensuring effective communication and timely benefit plan administration and compliance. The role includes researching, analyzing, and assisting with the development of ASO client benefit strategies, programs, and policies, while collaborating with the Benefit Assistant to ensure timely completion of various administrative support tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Consult and manage ASO client employee benefit programs.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to ASO employees and client management.
  • Research, analyze, and assist with the development of benefit strategies and policies.
  • Collaborate with the Benefit Assistant for administrative support tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding benefit programs.
  • Communicate timely and accurately about ASO client benefits.
  • Assist with the PEO Open Enrollment process and provide quality support.
  • Create and revise benefit department policies and procedures.
  • Resolve payroll/benefits discrepancies in partnership with payroll and HR teams.
  • Participate in sales and new client onboarding efforts.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a related field or commensurate experience.
  • At least five years of applicable benefits experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefit regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with HRIS software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
