About the position

The On-site Community Association Manager at Associa Chicagoland is responsible for overseeing community management operations in Arlington Heights. This role involves maintaining positive relationships with homeowners, residents, board members, and coworkers while ensuring the smooth functioning of community processes. The position offers opportunities for professional growth in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, emphasizing leadership and excellent service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare requests for proposals
  • Perform monthly or bi-monthly property inspections for reporting requirements
  • Produce a monthly action list
  • Process invoices
  • Perform quality control of vendor's performance
  • Work closely with the Board of Directors and committee members
  • Understand association governing documents
  • Manage people
  • Prepare and present budgets
  • Conduct routine architectural knowledge and inspections
  • Coordinate and attend board meetings as contractually required
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Service bids and supervise contractors
  • Produce management reports and prepare agendas for board meetings
  • Be available for after-hour emergency maintenance calls for the property

Requirements

  • Must be licensed as a Community Manager through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
  • Prefer CMCA, AMS or PCAM designations
  • 3 years of experience as a Community Manager preferred
  • Consultation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Possess excellent communication skills combined with a thoroughly professional presentation
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • A team player with good business skills
  • Self-motivated and willing to go the extra mile for the company and clients
  • Prior experience in your own community or HOA is a plus
  • Ability to read and understand a financial report
  • Facilities and project management experience is a plus
