About The Position
Our Client is seeking a Data Architect to examine large data sets and use them to identify trends and reach meaningful conclusions that inform strategic business decisions. This role requires a deep understanding of database management systems and the ability to work in a large and complex enterprise-level IT environment, preferably with experience in public sector projects. The Data Architect will be responsible for following Department IT processes and coordinating with other Department IT staff to ensure compliance with Department standards. The position involves participating in the analysis of current systems to gain an understanding of inputs and outputs, and it may require acting as a project manager on special projects. The Data Architect will establish and manage a formalized solution architecture for data development and maintenance projects, providing appropriate documentation for object design decisions, estimating assumptions, applets, and performance metrics. In addition, the Data Architect will analyze assigned specifications, plan, design, and develop solutions utilizing appropriate Internet/Intranet/Extranet architecture processes supporting a wide range of content. The role includes attending and participating in all project-related meetings, ensuring that meeting notes are produced and distributed as necessary, and corresponding with project teams and internal stakeholders regarding project activities, deliverables, and status. As a senior subject matter expert, the Data Architect will recommend best practices in solution architecture and ensure that all work is conducted onsite with the Department's OIT in Tallahassee, Florida.
