About the position

In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, service, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electronic and electromechanical equipment. You will be trained to become an independent "product expert" on selected company product lines. Your primary responsibilities will include implementing detailed, complex customer installation plans to ensure reliability and process qualification. Additionally, you will train customer personnel on advanced equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and process-related operations. You will provide onsite technical support for the development and implementation of equipment and process applications. The position requires you to complete on-site equipment installations or complex retrofits on equipment, ensuring that you provide professional and courteous service to customers with a primary goal of complete customer satisfaction. You will assist customers and other personnel in identifying and repairing equipment-related process problems, perform onsite preventative maintenance, clean equipment as required, and verify the operational quality of equipment. You will also assist with performing start-up, warranty, paid service, and service contract activities, as well as hardware setup on specified systems within established time frames. Troubleshooting and correcting process variations on systems will be a key part of your role, as you will diagnose sources of hardware or process problems on equipment, facilities, or wafers. Participation in local customer meetings and effective communication with customers in face-to-face, one-on-one settings, group settings, and through professional email and telephone communication will be essential. This position may require the use of company-hired vehicles for business purposes, so you must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license, and have acceptable driving privileges.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and correct process variations on systems
  • Diagnose sources of hardware or process problems on equipment, facilities or wafers
  • Participate in local customer meetings and communicate orally with customers in various settings
  • Use company hired vehicles on company business as required

Requirements

  • Experience with and a significant working knowledge of Electronics / Avionics and electrical systems
  • Ability to work with electronic equipment such as volt meters, amp meters, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic electric and electronic circuitry, including reading and interpreting electrical and electronic diagrams
  • Working understanding of AC power circuitry including breakers, multi-phase power, etc (120VAC and greater)
  • Must not have been an Intel employee at any of their facilities within the past six months
