In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, service, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electronic and electromechanical equipment. You will be trained to become an independent "product expert" on selected company product lines. Your primary responsibilities will include implementing detailed, complex customer installation plans to ensure reliability and process qualification. Additionally, you will train customer personnel on advanced equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and process-related operations. You will provide onsite technical support for the development and implementation of equipment and process applications. The position requires you to complete on-site equipment installations or complex retrofits on equipment, ensuring that you provide professional and courteous service to customers with a primary goal of complete customer satisfaction. You will assist customers and other personnel in identifying and repairing equipment-related process problems, perform onsite preventative maintenance, clean equipment as required, and verify the operational quality of equipment. You will also assist with performing start-up, warranty, paid service, and service contract activities, as well as hardware setup on specified systems within established time frames. Troubleshooting and correcting process variations on systems will be a key part of your role, as you will diagnose sources of hardware or process problems on equipment, facilities, or wafers. Participation in local customer meetings and effective communication with customers in face-to-face, one-on-one settings, group settings, and through professional email and telephone communication will be essential. This position may require the use of company-hired vehicles for business purposes, so you must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license, and have acceptable driving privileges.
