About the position

The virtual nursing staff nurse plays a crucial role in utilizing nursing processes and telemedicine technology to provide remote patient care. This position is focused on assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients while adhering to the organization's policies and procedures. The nurse is responsible for maintaining high standards of practice and coordinating care activities among assigned staff to ensure quality nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing processes and telemedicine technology to assess patient needs remotely.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in a virtual setting.
• Maintain standards of nursing practice as per organizational policies.
• Coordinate patient care activities among assigned nursing staff.
• Demonstrate professional growth and accountability in nursing practice.

Requirements

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Two years of direct patient care experience as a registered nurse in a hospital setting.
• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
• BLS certification required.

Nice-to-haves

• Telemedicine and/or virtual care experience.
• Experience with Epic EMR.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
