About the position

The Onboarding Accounting Specialist at Uplinq will be a key member of the Initialization Team, focusing on providing initial bookkeeping services to clients, creating and executing bookkeeping standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ensuring a smooth transition to the maintenance bookkeeping team. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment and are eager to leverage their accounting expertise to make a significant impact in the fintech industry.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Onboarding Specialists to provide initial bookkeeping to clients.
  • Create, document, and execute bookkeeping SOPs.
  • Handoff clients to the maintenance bookkeeping team.
  • Handle a portion of Catch Up bookkeeping.
  • Engage effectively with high-value clients to optimize their account setups.
  • Lead and support a team in bookkeeping tasks using Uplinq's technology solutions.
  • Transition companies to maintenance bookkeeping, ensuring a seamless handoff.
  • Communicate complex accounting data clearly to clients.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in cash and accrual based accounting, preferably with multi-client experience.
  • Public accounting experience with small businesses for bookkeeping and financial reporting.
  • Robust problem-solving skills for complex catch-up and clean-up projects.
  • Expertise in financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and U.S. GAAP compliance.
  • Strong communication skills to convey intricate accounting data to clients.
