About the position

The Onboarding and Experience Specialist is responsible for executing all onboarding activities for new team members and transfers within the Rochester Regional Health system. This role focuses on ensuring a positive onboarding experience, processing promotions and transfers, and providing ongoing support to new hires throughout their first year. The specialist aims to create an environment where new team members feel welcomed and have a sense of belonging.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with new team members and existing employees throughout the onboarding process.
• Mentor candidates through the onboarding process, communicating next steps and timelines.
• Communicate candidate status to key stakeholders such as hiring managers and recruiters.
• Manage all pre-employment background checks required by the company or regulatory authorities.
• Partner with affiliations to schedule pre-employment health appointments for new team members.
• Support new team members through their first year of employment.
• Create an engaging and belonging environment for new team members.
• Communicate identified issues related to new team members' experiences to leadership.
• Collect and document feedback from new team members and share with appropriate parties.

Requirements

• 2 years of relatable experience required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to build relationships.
• Critical thinking skills with the ability to sense environments and people in need of support.
• Knowledge of personnel procedures and policies.
• Detail-oriented and client-focused.
• Ability to prioritize workload, multitask, and meet deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
