About the position

The Onboarding and Patient Access Specialist at Takeda will play a crucial role in facilitating patient access to therapy by addressing barriers such as insurance coverage, reimbursement, and financial limitations. This position involves working cross-functionally with various stakeholders to ensure patients receive the necessary support and education regarding their coverage and reimbursement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Work with every new patient to ensure that their care environment understands the process for initiating care.
  • Collaborate with internal and external groups to resolve access issues, including patients, families, public and private payers, specialty pharmacies, and patient advocacy organizations.
  • Lead external customers, including healthcare professionals and payers, to achieve access for patients.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years of prior relationship management experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of field-based experience in account management, sales, or medical affairs in Patient Access
