About the position

The Onboarding and Patient Access Specialist at Takeda Pharmaceuticals is responsible for facilitating patient access to therapy by addressing barriers such as insurance coverage, reimbursement, and financial limitations. This role involves working cross-functionally with various stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and patient advocacy organizations, to ensure patients receive the necessary support and education regarding their coverage and reimbursement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Work with every new patient to ensure that their care environment understands the process for initiating care.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, caregivers, public and private payers, specialty pharmacies, and patient advocacy organizations to resolve access issues.
  • Lead external customers, including healthcare professionals and payers, to achieve patient access.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years of prior relationship management experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of field-based experience in account management, sales, or medical affairs in Patient Access

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of local and regional health plan policies
