About the position

The Onboarding and Patient Access Specialist at Takeda will work cross-functionally to identify and resolve patient access barriers, ensuring patients receive the necessary support to transition to therapy. This role involves educating patients, families, and caregivers about coverage and reimbursement processes, while coordinating communication among healthcare providers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Work with every new patient to ensure that their care environment understands the process for initiating care.
  • Resolve access issues by collaborating with patients, families, caregivers, payers, specialty pharmacies, and advocacy organizations.
  • Lead external customers, including healthcare professionals and payers, to achieve patient access.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years of prior relationship management experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of field-based experience in account management, sales, or medical affairs in Patient Access
