About the position

The Onboarding and Recruiting Specialist at Kennedy-Donovan Center (KDC) plays a crucial role in supporting the full-cycle recruitment and onboarding processes. This position is designed to attract and hire exceptional talent that aligns with KDC's mission of empowering individuals and families. The specialist will manage job postings, coordinate interviews, and ensure a positive candidate experience while also participating in various HR initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Support recruitment strategies and team
  • Create, manage, and refresh job postings monthly or as needed
  • Support full lifecycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, and advising in the selection of final candidates
  • Schedule interviews (phone, virtual, and in-person) with candidates and hiring teams as well as follow-up
  • Respond to employment inquiries and maintain candidate communications to ensure a positive and engaging candidate experience
  • Manage applicant tracking software, ensuring application and reference information are complete
  • Generate formal offer letters
  • Complete and submit Personnel Change Form (PCF) for new hires only
  • Collect new hire paperwork and enter data into KDC's HRIS system
  • Learn background check requirements for each KDC program and ensure all checks are completed in a timely manner
  • Maintain and update vacancy report and Talent Acquisition Spreadsheets for the entire agency
  • Coordinate and lead new hire Orientation
  • Actively participate in special projects, initiatives, and training for employees and managers, providing input into continuous HR process and improvement efforts
  • Participate in career fairs, as needed
  • Notify hiring managers when new hires need to sign up for training such as First Aid/CPR trainings, Safety Care trainings, and PBS trainings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of experience in Human Resources preferred or onboarding experience
  • Ability to multi-task and adequately prioritize requests
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong and effective oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software and Learning Management Systems
  • Possess a customer service orientation with a deep appreciation for the value of a positive hiring manager and candidate experience
