About the position

The Onboarding Payroll Specialist at Workwell Technologies, Inc. plays a crucial role in the Payroll Sales Department, providing payroll solutions to a diverse customer base. This position focuses on ensuring accurate and timely onboarding support while fostering strong relationships with customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll onboarding or customer support and a solid understanding of payroll processes and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with the Payroll Department to ensure a seamless transition, setup, and configuration of payroll services for new customers.
  • Facilitate a smooth onboarding experience for new customers while providing training and support for our payroll processes and requirements.
  • Assist sales team in the gathering of documentation and follow-up on receipt of documentation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by professionally addressing payroll related inquiries, resolving discrepancies, and offering solutions.
  • Actively listen to customers, understand their issues, and effectively communicate resolutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and systems, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Become a subject matter expert to identify and adequately document payroll onboarding issues.
  • Identify and triage issues and escalate as appropriate.
  • Manage pipeline of customers in various stages of onboarding and maintain reports within HubSpot CRM & Jira system.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar customer service role.
  • Experience in customer onboarding.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Computer and technology literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional listening and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and dedication to providing exceptional customer care.
  • Ability to multitask and successfully operate in a fast paced, team environment.
  • Adapt well to change and successfully set and adjust priorities as needed.
