About the position

The Onboarding Specialist (Bilingual - Spanish) plays a crucial role in the onboarding process for new hires, rehires, and transfers at Apache Industrial Services. This position involves close collaboration with recruiters and field management to ensure a smooth and efficient onboarding experience, while also providing support in both English and Spanish. The specialist is responsible for managing the onboarding process, handling sensitive employee information, and ensuring compliance with training and clinic requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supports new hires as they complete employment applications via phone or internet.
• Assists Craft Professionals with translation during ATS onboarding in both English and Spanish.
• Supervises onboarding of Craft Professionals through various clinics and training processes.
• Manages the onboarding process to completion, ensuring superior customer service and confidentiality.
• Troubleshoots and escalates onboarding issues as necessary.
• Works proactively with HR Business Partners to improve onboarding experiences.
• Completes I-9 documentation via HRIS system.
• Provides follow-up for Craft Professionals to ensure completion of clinic requirements and safety courses.
• Delivers daily/weekly updates to hiring managers regarding Craft Professional compliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1-4 years of experience onboarding candidates in the industrial and/or facilities maintenance sector.
• Fluency in Spanish.
• Experience working within ATS or HRIS systems.
• Experience with completing background checks via web-based systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with qualifications for job sites such as HASC and ISTC.
• Ability to work collaboratively and build strong partnerships with management and field leaders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
