About the position

We are seeking a dedicated Employee Relations/Onboarding Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the onboarding experience for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company and taking care of current employees' needs. This position does not require previous onboarding or HR experience but does need someone who is patient and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Be the primary contact once a candidate has accepted the role, sending new hire information, helping with questions, and ensuring all tasks are complete before first day training.
  • On the day of training, answer technology questions and assist the trainer with any issues.
  • Check I9's and other onboarding documents for accuracy and convert their files to an active employee.
  • Communicate with new employees about the next training days information, including sending links and following up on any missed tasks.
  • Check in with new hires over the first few weeks to ensure all questions are answered and if they have any needs.
  • Keep records accurate both on the company platform and within the payroll software.
  • Assist HR with benefits, communication, marketing, and other needs.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement within the onboarding framework.
  • Strong skills with the Google platform and general technology.
  • Good with frequent change in tasks and ability to problem solve.
  • High ethical standards and understanding of confidentiality.
